Table games revenue at The Greenbrier jumped nearly 300% In all, the local casino industry generated $139.9 million in July, a 6.1% decrease compared to July 2019. Maryland's six casinos were allowed to reopen starting June 19 at 50% capacity. Three Casino gaming revenue contributed a record $717.5 million to the state, including an all-time high of $542.7 million to the Maryland Education Trust Fund. The combined total of $1.311 billion in state contributions is a 4.7% increase from the previous record of $1.252 billion in Fiscal Year 2018. The state also noted that Hollywood Casino in Perryville ($6.8 million in August 2020, an increase of $385,137, or 6%, from August 2019) and Rocky Gap Casino in Cumberland ($6.2 million in August 2020, an increase of $804,073, or 15%, from August 2019) saw their August 2019 gaming revenue figures improve. Other Maryland Casinos Saw Declines Casino & Hotel generated $51.5 million in revenue, which was up 4.5 percent from July 2019.
